Boards
How come in this day and age, noone uses the board to control children. Now I am not saying to beat your children within an inch of their lives, however when used properly 18 inches of wood can be very effective!As a teacher, I find it attrocious that schools have stopped using corporal punishment! I believe that students would respond to this better than sitting out of class. I LOVED being out of class, and bawled like a baby when I was boarded (even in middle school). This surely wouldn't be a solve for all children, but the white collar clowns variety would be dramatically cut down!
